Development of a point of care immunosensor for C-peptide assessment received funding from Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF)

We are happy to announce that our project to develop a blood test for C-peptide has received funding from Breakthrough T1D, formerly JDRF,  for three years. Breakthrough T1D is the leading global T1D research and advocacy organization.

This project aims to develop a novel and accessible technology for c-peptide at the point of care which will have a revolutionary effect on the assessment of T1D. It will also open opportunities for developing multicomponent sensors including glucose and insulin for enhanced treatment. We also want to provide an easy and reliable c-peptide assessment with a significant reduction in time compared to conventional standards in clinical practice As a result, it could help clinicians and patients while increasing access to underserved populations.
