Şahin Group lab is based in a new Engineering 2 Building that has recently been opened featuring three floors of dedicated teaching space and specialist laboratories at Bailrigg Campus, Lancaster. Our main lab is a brand new BioLab equipped with dedicated areas for biological research as well as wet-lab amenities. We also have lab space in the Chemical Engineering wet-chemistry lab to conduct non-biological research.

Our labs hold a Bronze Award from the Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Framework. We are constantly improving our lab practices and are currently preparing our lab for the Silver Award. All our members are also encouraged to complete the My Green Lab Ambassador Program to learn sustainability practices, and join a global community of change-makers.
